A parent's guide

PetPop is a gentle virtual pet game for all ages. Here's what your child will find, what we collect, and the controls you have.

The basics

Safe and kind by design

  • No ads, no trackers, no chat. There's no way for strangers to message your child, and no advertising or tracking scripts of any kind.
  • No personal information needed to play. Without an account, the game is saved only on the device.
  • Gentle by design. Pets never die or run away. There are no guilt trips, countdown timers or "only 2 left" messages.
  • Random packs are earned, never sold. Every pack shows its odds. See them all on the packs page.
  • Short, calm sessions. Mini game rounds last about a minute, and pets are fine while your child is away.
Accounts

You approve accounts for under-18s

Playing without an account

Your child can play straight away with nothing to fill in. Their pets are saved on the device only.

Saving to an account

An account keeps pets safe across devices. Signing in uses a one-time email code (no passwords). If the birth year shows a player is under 18, we email the parent or guardian they name, and nothing is stored online until you approve. Unapproved accounts are deleted after 30 days.

Privacy

What we collect

With an account

An email address, a birth year, game progress, and for under-18s the parent's email. Used only to run the account. Never sold, never used for ads.

Anonymous counts

The game counts simple events (like "a mini game was played") with a random device number, on our own server, so we can see what to improve. No names, no emails, no third parties.

Questions

Parents often ask

How do I delete my child's account?

In the game: Settings, Account, Delete account. Or email [email protected] and we'll do it for you.

Can other players contact my child?

No. There's no chat, no friend messages and no public profiles.

Does it cost anything?

The game is free to play. There is nothing to buy right now.

What happens if my child stops playing for a while?

Nothing bad. Pets get a little hungry or sleepy but are never hurt, and are just happy to see them again.
